Description

An unflavoured liquid containing protein (milk), fat (soya, MCT, linseed, sunflower and fish oils), carbohydrate (maltodextrin, starch), fibre (inulin, wheat dextrin, cellulose), vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

• Free from gluten.
• Clinically free from lactose.

Contra-indications

• Not for parenteral use.
• Not suitable where enteral nutrition is not permitted.
• Not suitable for infants under one year of age or adults.

Indications for use

Nutritionally complete enteral tube feed with fibre for children aged 1-10 years or 8-30kg body weight who are at risk of malnutrition and have increased energy and protein requirements or are fluid restricted.

Frebini® energy fibre is prescribable on FP10/GP10 for the following indications: short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, pre-operative preparation of patients who are undernourished, patients with proven inflammatory bowel disease, following total gastrectomy, bowel fistulae, dysphagia, disease related malnutrition and growth failure in children aged 1-10 years.

Dosage should be calculated by a clinician or dietitian according to individual requirements.
